This paid internship offers a hands-on experience where you'll collaborate with seasoned professionals, develop your technical skills, and contribute to exciting renovation and remodeling projects. If you're passionate about interior design, eager to learn, and ready to bring creative visions to life, this is the perfect opportunity to jumpstart your career in a lively, supportive environment. We are a small boutique design studio. We focus on the client relationship first and our goal is to bring the client's vision to life rather than to create our own individual design 'brand'. Duties Assist in creating detailed 3D models and renderings using software such as SketchUp, 3ds Max, Rhino (Rhinoceros 3D), Revit, and AutoCAD to visualize interior concepts. Contribute to drafting floor plans, elevations, sections, and detailed drawings aligned with building codes and safety standards. Help prepare presentations and graphic design materials using various digital media tools to communicate design ideas effectively. Participate in client meetings by preparing visual aids, mood boards, color schemes based on color theory principles, and material selections. Collaborate on managing project timelines, budgets, and schedules for renovation and remodeling initiatives. Assist in creating estimates, budgets and client sales pitches. Participate in site meetings with various contractors, architects, and builders. Qualifications Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field. Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Bluebeam, and 3D modeling tools like 3ds Max or Rhino. Strong understanding of drafting techniques, construction detail documentation, and building code compliance. Experience with rendering software including Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Creative Suite for presentation purposes. Knowledge of lighting design principles and lighting sales processes is a plus. Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration. Previous sales experience is a plus. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects efficiently within deadlines. This paid internship provides an invaluable platform for aspiring interior designers to hone their skills while contributing meaningfully to real-world projects. We value creativity, attention to detail, technical expertise, and a proactive attitude—qualities that will help you thrive in this energetic environment!
