Job Title:
Interior Designer Essential Skills Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture from an accredited program. Approximately 5 years of professional interior design experience within an architectural or design firm. Strong proficiency in Revit; experience with AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and rendering tools preferred. Solid understanding of building systems, materials, and interior construction methods. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience working on commercial, education, healthcare, or civic projects preferred. Strong graphic, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Job Description We are seeking a talented and motivated Interior Designer to join our growing interiors team. This role is perfect for a designer passionate about translating architectural concepts into meaningful interior environments and thriving in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary studio setting. The Interior Designer will work closely with architects, project managers, consultants, and clients to develop interior design solutions from concept through construction administration. Responsibilities Collaborate with project teams to develop interior design concepts aligned with overall architectural vision. Produce interior design documentation including plans, elevations, details, and schedules. Select and specify finishes, materials, furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E). Prepare presentation materials, mood boards, and client-facing design documentation. Coordinate with consultants, vendors, and participate in client meetings and presentations as appropriate. Assist with construction administration, including submittal reviews and site visits. Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements. Support junior designers and contribute to a collaborative studio culture. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kalamazoo, MI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $26.44 - $28.85/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
