Job Description

Job Summary:
Evolution General Contracting is seeking an experienced Kitchen Designer with extensive knowledge of custom cabinetry and strong proficiency in 2020 Design software . This position is ideal for someone who understands both the creative and technical sides of kitchen design. We are looking for a designer who can meet with clients, develop functional and beautiful kitchen layouts, create detailed designs and renderings in 2020, and confidently specify cabinetry through final ordering. Key Responsibilities Meet with clients to understand their needs, style, priorities, and budget. Develop functional kitchen layouts based on field measurements, architectural plans, and client requirements. Create detailed kitchen designs, floor plans, elevations, and renderings using 2020 Design software . Design and specify custom and semi-custom cabinetry . Guide clients through cabinetry selections, including door styles, finishes, colors, hardware, storage solutions, and accessories. Accurately specify cabinet sizes, configurations, fillers, panels, moldings, trim, finished ends, and specialty components. Understand and account for appliances, plumbing fixtures, clearances, electrical requirements, and other elements that affect cabinetry and kitchen layouts. Review field measurements and plans to identify potential installation or design conflicts before cabinetry is ordered. Prepare complete and accurate cabinetry orders and specifications. Coordinate with project managers, contractors, installers, vendors, and the internal design team throughout the project. Review cabinetry acknowledgments and shop drawings for accuracy prior to approval and ordering. Assist in resolving field conditions or cabinetry issues that arise during installation. Maintain organized project files, selections, specifications, and design documentation. Qualifications Extensive professional experience designing kitchens and working with custom cabinetry is required. Strong proficiency in 2020 Design software is required. Thorough understanding of cabinet construction, sizing, modifications, fillers, panels, moldings, accessories, and installation requirements. Ability to read architectural drawings, floor plans, elevations, and field measurements. Strong space-planning skills and understanding of kitchen functionality. Knowledge of appliances and the clearances and specifications that affect cabinetry layouts. Strong attention to detail and ability to identify potential design and installation issues before materials are ordered. Excellent client communication and presentation skills. Ability to manage multiple kitchen projects simultaneously and meet project deadlines. Experience working directly with contractors, installers, architects, and other trades is strongly preferred.
Pay:
$80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
