Position Introduction:
Kickstart your design career with hands-on experience at University of Oklahoma Architectural & Engineering Services. As a Student Interior Design Assistant, you'll step beyond the classroom and into real-world projects that shape the university's spaces. In this role, you'll collaborate with experienced interior design professionals and A&E staff to support the selection, ordering, and installation of furnishings across campus. You'll gain practical skills by organizing product catalogs and materials, contributing to floor plans using AutoCAD, and participating in building walkthroughs and surveys that inform design decisions. This position also builds your professional foundation through essential office experience—managing files, answering phones, coordinating errands, and supporting daily operations. Along the way, you'll strengthen your proficiency in Microsoft Office, CAD software, and other industry tools while learning how design projects move from concept to completion. Required Education and Experience:
Must be currently enrolled in a combination of two terms as a sophomore or junior level Interior Design student in good standing at the University of Oklahoma. Hiring contingent upon verification of current student status.
Job Duties:
Assisting Interior Design professionals and other A&E staff members with preparation of orders & installation of new furnishings Organizing catalogs and product supplies; add furniture to floor plans in CAD Walk & survey buildings Filing Answering telephones Running errands Other related duties as assigned which may require use of Microsoft Office programs, AutoCAD, or other software applications

Must be computer literate with basic knowledge of
