Job Description
Own the design side of Lehigh Valley kitchen and bathroom renovations end to end — from the first in-home consultation through to installation. VM Power Kitchen & Bath is a 25-person, family-run remodeler working out of Whitehall, PA. We have built in the Lehigh Valley since 2003, we are licensed in PA and NJ, and we are an NKBA member company. We do full-scope renovation — no refacing, no resurfacing.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Run in-home and in-office design consultations with homeowners
- Field-measure and produce accurate plans, elevations and 3D presentations
- Specify cabinetry, countertops, tile, plumbing fixtures and lighting
- Build and maintain realistic project budgets
- Work directly with our project managers and installers through completion
- Stay the client's design contact for the life of the job
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Demonstrable kitchen and bath design experience
- Fluency in kitchen/bath design software (for example 2020 Design, Chief Architect, SketchUp or AutoCAD)
- Confidence field-measuring and reading existing conditions in older homes
- Working knowledge of cabinetry construction, countertop fabrication and tile
- Able to present a design to a homeowner clearly, and without overselling it
- Valid driver's license and able to travel to job sites across the Lehigh Valley
PREFERRED
- NKBA certification (AKBD or CMKBD), or current eligibility to sit for it
- Experience with full-scope renovation rather than refacing or resurfacing
- Familiarity with older Lehigh Valley housing stock
