In this role, you will transform spaces by blending creativity with technical expertise, ensuring each project reflects the client's vision while adhering to functional, aesthetic, and budgetary requirements. You will manage multiple projects from concept through completion, collaborating closely with clients, contractors, and vendors to deliver exceptional interior environments that inspire and delight. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your design talent and technical skills in a fast-paced, creative setting. We are looking for a degreed Interior Designer to join our team. We are looking for someone with 5-10 years of experience, who is proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, Photoshop, Lumion or Sketch-up and has strong rendering skills. Must be able to lead design meetings with the client as they relate to interiors. This person needs to be able to assist with drawings, including floor plans, elevations and detailing. Experience with construction submittals and RFIs is required. We care about getting the job done for our clients, working our 40 hours and having a strong work/life balance. We want someone who is creative, enjoys collaborating on projects but can also work on their own. Keeping up on current design trends is important and this individual will also assist with keeping our library updated and organized. Currently, most of our clients are located in NJ and traveling for project meetings and site visits is required a few times a month, on average. Tolls and mileage will be reimbursed, and a generous vacation/healthcare/retirement package is included. Responsibilities Develop comprehensive interior design concepts using software such as SketchUp, Revit, AutoCAD, 3ds Max, Rhinoceros 3D, and Adobe Creative Suite to visualize ideas clearly. Prepare detailed drafting and construction documents that include floor plans, elevations, sections, and details in accordance with project specifications. Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and preferences while providing expert guidance on color theory, lighting design, renovation strategies, and remodeling options. Manage project timelines and budgets effectively by coordinating with contractors, suppliers, and vendors throughout the project lifecycle. Select appropriate materials, finishes, furnishings, lighting fixtures, and accessories that align with the design concept and client expectations. Conduct site visits during construction or renovation phases to ensure design integrity is maintained and resolve any on-site issues promptly. Prepare contracts and scope of work documentation while maintaining clear communication channels with all stakeholders involved in the project. Experience Heathcare Desgin Experience is preferred. Proven experience in interior design or related fields with a strong portfolio showcasing diverse projects including renovations, remodels, or new builds. Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD and Revit for drafting; SketchUp for conceptual visualization; Adobe Photoshop for presentation boards; Rhino 3D and 3ds Max for advanced modeling; Bluebeam for PDF markup; and Adobe Creative Suite for graphic work. Familiarity with construction processes, remodeling procedures, budgeting practices, and contract management to ensure seamless project execution. Strong understanding of interior design principles including color theory, space planning, drafting standards, and material selection. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and delivering high-quality results. Join us to bring innovative interiors to life!
