Company Overview Oskar Huber Furniture & Design is a long standing, family-owned, home-furnishings retail and custom design center that holds a reputation of providing outstanding customer service and quality products. We are passionate about helping customers create beautiful, functional living spaces. Our showrooms boast a curated selection of elegant, stylish furniture and home accessories. We are currently seeking a talented, experienced Visual Merchandiser to join our amazing team on a part-time basis (one to two days per week). This role is responsible for conceptualizing and executing eye-catching, trend-forward in-store displays that reflect our brand identity. The ideal candidate combines creativity with strong attention to detail, has a pulse on current design trends, and thrives in a fast-paced retail environment. Physical stamina and hands-on execution are essential. Summary The Visual Merchandiser will be responsible for executing and maintaining visually appealing merchandise presentations that enhance the customer experience and support sales goals. This role will work closely with store managers and the buying team to implement floor plans, seasonal displays, and promotional setups across the showroom. Duties and Responsibilities Ensure proper merchandising procedures are followed in all aspects of the merchandising department Active involvement in all aspects of showroom decorating to include accessories, wall art, lighting arrangements, furniture, rug, and bedding displays Maintain a clean, organized, and presentable sales floor; replacing sold furniture and accessories Communicate with the accessory buyer to learn what the vision and plan for particular items are Collaborate with store manager, merchandiser, operations manager, and accessory buyer to plan new merchandise placement as it arrives in the store Unpack, tag, and creatively place all accessories in the showroom Move furniture and accessories to create new room displays on a weekly basis Work alongside and direct floor work team to implement planned room design on the showroom floor Arrange and/or redirect track lights after you have redisplayed an area; ensuring the furniture is the focal point Responsible for carrying, setting up, and utilizing ladders Ensure all powered merchandise functions properly; plug in and test Advise store manager of any broken pieces or items that require service Spackle holes and repaint walls as needed Stay up to date on all trends and best sellers in the geographical market Liaise with vendors as necessary Ability to report on product and furniture performance Act in alignment with the company's culture, products, image and target market Provide support to the sales staff and designers as needed
