About Inhabit Staging Inhabit Staging is a leading luxury home staging company serving Washington, DC, Maryland, and Northern Virginia. We specialize in high-end, modern homes throughout the DMV. We are a fast-growing, creative, collaborative team that takes pride in thoughtful design, exceptional client service, and making beautiful homes look their absolute best. The Role We are looking for an experienced Designer / Home Stager to work closely with our Creative Director to design and execute residential staging projects throughout the DC Metro area. This is a hybrid role combining design, client communication, project execution, and hands-on staging . Some work can be completed remotely, while staging and destaging days and property measures require travel to properties throughout DC, Maryland, and Northern Virginia. Our office is located in Rockville, Maryland if you prefer to work there. This is a fast-paced, detail-oriented position with significant responsibility. The right person is creative and design-driven but also enjoys being hands-on and working as part of a team to bring a project to life. What You'll Do Design & Client Work Design staging projects in collaboration with our Creative Director Work with Inhabit leadership team to create and pilot an interior design service portfolio Work directly with clients, realtors, and other industry professionals Respond to client inquiries and provide design recommendations Prepare estimates and project recommendations Help ensure every completed stage reflects Inhabit's design standards Staging & Project Execution Participate in staging, destaging and measuring homes throughout the DMV Style furniture, artwork, accessories, and finishing details on-site Make final adjustments to ensure homes are photo- and market-ready Help maintain staged spaces as needed, including light sweeping or cleaning Assist the staging and moving team with smaller items when needed Schedule & Location Typically Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-5:00 PM Schedule varies depending on staging projects and client needs Weekend work is extremely rare but may occasionally be required Hours may be lighter during slower seasons Average schedule is 40 hours per week annually Warehouse and office space are located in Rockville, Maryland Staging projects are located throughout Washington, DC, Maryland, and Northern Virginia Some design work may be completed remotely in collaboration with the Creative Director Because this position requires regular travel between properties, a reliable vehicle and valid driver's license are required . Staging and destaging are active, physical work. Expect to spend significant time on your feet and moving throughout properties on installation days.
What We're Looking For Required:
3+ years of professional experience in home staging or interior design Strong design instincts and attention to detail Experience working directly with clients Excellent organizational and communication skills Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities Tech-savvy and able to learn new systems quickly Reliable, proactive, and able to take initiative Comfortable with the physical aspects of staging, including lifting up to 45 lbs. Reliable vehicle and valid driver's license English fluency
Preferred:
5+ years of professional staging or interior design experience Experience working with high-end residential clients, realtors, or developers Strong professional references Bachelor's degree in Interior Design Spanish fluency is a plus, but not required Why Join Inhabit?
