Interior Design Assistant

Overview Join our dynamic interior design team as an Interior Design Assistant, where your creativity and technical skills will help transform spaces into inspiring environments. This paid position offers a vibrant opportunity to collaborate with seasoned designers, contribute to innovative projects, and develop your expertise in interior design. You will support project execution from conceptualization through construction, ensuring every detail aligns with client visions and industry standards. Duties Assist in meeting notes, shadow in meetings, email coordination, material delivery, excel sheet organization and coordination. Collaborate with project managers on scheduling, and coordinating renovation or remodeling projects to ensure timely delivery. Support the selection of materials, finishes, lighting fixtures, and furnishings by communicating with designers and detailed notes. Conduct site visits for measurements, inspections, and quality control during construction or remodeling phases. Assist in preparing contracts, proposals, and documentation related to sales, renovation projects, and construction activities. Contribute to project management tasks by tracking progress, updating schedules, and maintaining organized records of project files, managing emails and message threads. Experience Proven proficiency with reading plans, drawings, Architectural sets. Knowledge of drafting standards, CAD techniques, color theory, lighting design principles, and interior design best practices. Experience supporting renovation or remodeling projects within commercial or residential settings. Familiarity with construction processes, contracts management, budgeting strategies, and lighting sales is highly desirable. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills for collaborating with clients, vendors, contractors, and team members.
