Interior Designer

We are looking for an experienced Interior Designer to support ongoing projects on a freelance basis. This role is part-time and variable, typically ranging from 5-20 hours per week depending on project load. Primary Responsibilities Develop and execute design scopes for high-end residential projects Produce SketchUp drawing sets (plans, elevations, details) Document site conditions and existing field conditions Maintain and update finish specifications Coordinate with vendors for samples, pricing, and technical information Prepare client presentations (InDesign or similar) Collaborate with Project Managers to ensure design intent is carried through installation Qualifications 5+ years experience in an interior design or architectural studio Strong working knowledge of: Wood flooring Tile and stone systems Carpet and soft finishes Lighting, plumbing fixtures, and hardware Proficient in SketchUp (required) Familiarity with AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite a plus Ideal Candidate Comfortable working independently with minimal oversight Detail-oriented with strong execution skills Able to move quickly between projects and priorities Strong communicator with vendors and internal teams Interested in the technical side of construction, not just finish selection Additional Notes Flexible schedule; hours will vary week to week Local to Austin preferred for occasional site visits and showroom coordination Compensation hourly, based on experience (target range $40-$70/hour)
