Job Description

Facilities Planner & Interior Designer Location:
Metro Detroit, MI (Hybrid - 3 days onsite)
Role Type:
Long-term Contract / Project-Based The Opportunity Are you a vision-oriented designer who loves the puzzle of spatial optimization? We are looking for a Facilities Planner & Designer to lead the charge in transforming interior environments. In this role, you won't just be moving desks; you will be architecting the future of our workspace—balancing aesthetic excellence with operational efficiency. From collaborating with custom furniture manufacturers to overseeing large-scale renovations, you will be the creative and strategic force that ensures our physical footprint evolves alongside our organization.
Your Impact Visionary Space Planning:
Design, develop, and coordinate dynamic layouts that meet the evolving needs of building occupants. Concept to
Creation:
Develop custom equipment and furniture concepts, collaborating directly with manufacturers to bring bespoke designs to life.
Standards & Aesthetics:
Establish the "look and feel"for new and renovated buildings, ensuring all designs remain cohesive, modern, and compatible with corporate decor.
Project Leadership:
Assemble and manage multi-disciplinary teams (internal and external) to drive project goals from initial bid to final walkthrough.
Strategic Forecasting:
Use data-driven surveys and forecasting to help shape long-range master space planning. What You Bring to the
Table Educational Foundation:
A Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or Facility Management.
Proven Track Record:
3-5 years of professional experience in facilities planning, ideally within a large-scale corporate environment or under the guidance of a licensed Architect.
Technical Artistry:
You are a power user of CADD MicroStation and possess strong PC skills.
Preferred Edge:
Proficiency with Autodesk Revit is a major plus.
Execution Mindset:
Strong attention to detail, especially when preparing specifications for bidding documents and ensuring compliance with organizational standards. Why Join Us?
