Interior Designer, Kitchen Specialist

Job Overview Hometown Design-Build is seeking a detail-oriented Interior Designer with specialized expertise in kitchen design to join our creative team. Our company is a full-service design-build general contractor with an in-house custom cabinet shop. In this role, you will transform client visions into stunning, functional kitchen spaces by leveraging your design skills, technical knowledge, and project management capabilities. Your passion for interior aesthetics combined with your technical proficiency in cabinetry will help us deliver exceptional remodeling and renovation projects that elevate our clients' lifestyles. Responsibilities Collaborate closely with clients to understand their needs, preferences, and budget constraints for kitchen remodeling projects. Develop comprehensive interior design concepts, including layout plans, color schemes, lighting solutions, and material selections using tools like SketchUp, 2020 & Chief Architect. Manage project selections and finishes, coordinating and facilitating homeowners throughout the process. Select appropriate lighting fixtures and develop lighting designs that enhance functionality and aesthetic appeal while supporting sales efforts in lighting products. Qualifications Proven experience in interior design with a strong focus on kitchen spaces; portfolio demonstrating successful remodeling or renovation projects is highly desirable. Proficiency in 2020, Sketchup or Chief Architect Excellent project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail. Knowledge of contracts, budgeting practices, and vendor relations within the interior design or construction industry. Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with clients, contractors, suppliers, and team members throughout project phases.
