Hourly Rate:

$35-$35/hour AYYA Design Haus is seeking a Technical Interior Designer who is passionate about the technical, project management, and operational side of interior design. This role focuses heavily on FF&E support, vendor coordination, and technical documentation, ensuring that design concepts are translated into organized plans, accurate orders, and well-executed installations. You will work closely with the Creative Director and local Project Manager, supporting the development and execution of projects through strong organization, technical precision, and clear communication. This role is ideal for someone based in or near Big Sky, MT, or surrounding cities (Bozeman, Ennis, Livingston), who enjoys the intersection of design, logistics, and problem-solving, and is comfortable working across multiple phases of a project.

WORK STRUCTURE

This role is primarily remote; however, it requires periodic in-person involvement in the Big Sky and greater Gallatin County area, including: Site visits Vendor and showroom meetings Client meetings Material and sample coordination Installation support

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

FF&E Coordination & Procurement Support Support vendor communication and maintain professional relationships with showrooms, suppliers, and manufacturers Research and source materials, furnishings, and finishes, including requesting samples and swatches Assist with order placement, tracking, and delivery coordination Maintain and update FF&E schedules, procurement spreadsheets, and vendor documentation Organize and manage sample libraries, material boards, and digital project folders Track procurement timelines and proactively communicate updates Technical Support & Documentation Assist in producing and updating drawings using AutoCAD and SketchUp Support development of floor plans, elevations, and design documentation Ensure design concepts are translated into clear and executable plans Maintain organized drawing files and documentation standards Presentation & Design Support Assist with client presentations and design boards Organize materials, imagery, and specifications Attend meetings and document notes and action items as needed Project Coordination & Site Involvement Coordinate schedules, spreadsheets, and procurement timelines Attend site visits to measure, document progress, and support installations Communicate clearly with vendors and internal team members Maintain strong attention to detail across all project components

QUALIFICATIONS

Degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or related field (preferred, but experience will be considered) Proficiency in AutoCAD and SketchUp required Highly organized and comfortable managing spreadsheets, schedules, and procurement tracking Strong attention to detail across orders, drawings, and documentation Strong communication skills with vendors, clients, and team members Eager to learn, ask questions, and grow technical design capabilities Must be based in or willing to commute to the Big Sky, MT area Valid driver's license required
