About the
Position:
The Designer position plays a vital role in helping our clients achieve the cutting edge, modern and open space concepts they are looking for. This position will be responsible for designing work areas that fit within the client's budget, available space and needs. The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: Consults with Sales Consultants and potential clients on their upcoming projects and ask diagnostic questions to determine their client's requirements, budget, employee count and space planning needs. Occasionally tour client's new or existing workspace to take measurements for accurate space planning. Use Sketchup, CET, and Auto CAD to create floor plans and 3D renderings. Select and specify office furniture, fabrics and finishes that reflect the client's workplace culture and budget. Accurately apply applicable discounts where needed and create solutions for client approval. Update quotes and make necessary revisions in a timely manner to ensure the project is accurate and complete. Collaborate with Operations and Purchasing team to ensure each project is created and ordered correctly. Participate in other office duties as part of the team.
Qualifications:
Strong customer service skills with a desire to go above and beyond to assist others Professional demeanor and positive attitude High level of attention to detail Basic mathematic skills required Advanced knowledge of Excel, Microsoft Outlook, and PowerPoint Looking to join a challenging but rewarding environment with passionate and talented team members Driven to continuously develop both professionally and personally through goal setting and challenging themselves in all aspects of their life Must thrive working in a fast-paced environment Excellent listening and communication skills Results-orientated with a committed effort to exceed individual and team goals
Preferred Skills:
College Degree in Design preferred Space planning experience a plus Knowledge of Sketchup and Auto CAD preferred Proven experience of interacting verbally with senior executives up to C-level preferred
