Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Design Assistant to join our creative team! This energetic role offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate closely with Senior Designer on New Single Family Home design projects, for both Speculative Homes and Custom Homebuyers. As a key contributor, you will assist in selecting innovative interior and lighting designs, ensuring each project aligns with client visions while adhering to industry standards. Your enthusiasm for design, combined with strong technical skills, will help drive project success and elevate our creative offerings. This paid position is ideal for someone eager to grow their expertise in interior design and visualization tools within a vibrant, fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Support the design team by preparing & presenting detailed mood boards of selections, layouts, and presentations using software Photoshop, Canva and Google Drive. Assist in creating visualizations with tools like Adobe Photoshop to bring concepts to life Collaborate on interior design projects, including suggesting fixtures and placement Aid in project management tasks such as contacting vendors for pricing and delivery. Ensuring selections are within the required budgets, comply with Client requests and are reflected in Google Drive. Participate in job site visits throughout the construction process under the guidance of the Senior Designer to establish or confirm plumbing and light fixtures, trim, cabinets, paint colors and exterior components. Skills Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator), Canva & Google Drive. Understanding of interior design fundamentals including color theory, space planning, and material selection Experience with lighting design concepts and lighting delivery schedules Ability to manage multiple projects efficiently through effective project management techniques Knowledge of construction processes, remodeling procedures, and renovation standards Excellent communication skills in writing & presentations for collaborating with clients, contractors, and team members Join us if you're passionate about transforming spaces through innovative design solutions!
