Job Description

Category Schools - Sign Language Interpreter Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity as a Sign Language Interpreter supporting students for the 2026-2027 school year from August 19, 2026 to May 20, 2027. Both full-time and part-time roles are available, giving you the flexibility to tailor your commitment while making a lasting difference in educational settings.
Applicants should possess:
Current National Sign Language Interpreter Certification Previous experience as a Sign Language Interpreter in K-12 schools preferred Strong proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) Excellent communication and collaboration skills Ability to adapt to changing environments and student needs Positive, professional attitude with a commitment to inclusivity Key responsibilities include: Facilitating clear and effective communication between students, staff, and the school community Supporting instructional activities by interpreting classroom discussions, assignments, and announcements Assisting with extracurricular events, meetings, and parent conferences as needed Maintaining confidentiality, accuracy, and impartiality in all interpreting assignments Collaborating with educators and support staff to ensure students' needs are met Providing input to help adapt materials and approaches for optimal learning As part of this contract role, you'll benefit from weekly pay and healthcare plan options, allowing you to focus on what matters most—empowering students to excel.
