Job Description

Category Schools - Sign Language Interpreter - Telehealth Job Type Contract Openings are available for skilled Sign Language Interpreters specializing in telehealth services within a school setting. These contract positions are located in Soldotna, AK, with assignments spanning from August 19, 2026, through May 20, 2027. Both full-time and part-time opportunities are offered.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide accurate and effective sign language interpretation for students, staff, and telehealth consultations. Facilitate clear communication between hearing and deaf or hard-of-hearing individuals in educational environments. Support classroom instruction, meetings, and individual sessions as required. Maintain confidentiality and adherence to professional and ethical standards.
Qualifications:
National Sign Language Interpreter Certification is a mandatory requirement. Experience with telehealth interpretation is preferred. Strong understanding of educational terminology and procedures. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
