Job Description

Category Schools - Sign Language Interpreter Job Type Contract Empower students and foster accessible communication as a Sign Language Interpreter in a dynamic school environment near Pinson, AL. In this contract position, you'll be a critical link in ensuring that Deaf and hard-of-hearing students have equal access to instruction, campus activities, and school services. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with dedicated educators, supportive staff, and a diverse student population, all while making a meaningful difference each day.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) Experience working as a Sign Language Interpreter, preferably in educational settings Ability to interpret both one-on-one and in group settings Strong understanding of Deaf culture and advocacy Dedication to confidentiality and professionalism Appropriate state licensure or credentials for sign language interpretation in K-12 schools
Responsibilities:
