To Be Determined Job Description Cedar Ridge School District is seeking a dedicated and qualified American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreter to support students who are deaf or hard of hearing. The following are essential duties for this position: Interpret oral communication into sign language in classes Facilitate communication among students, classroom teachers, and other personnel in the school district. Convey the content of the message clearly and accurately according to the receptive language level of the student. Maintain confidentiality of student information Previous educational interpreting preferred Minimum standards: Must hold a valid interpreter's license issued by the Arkansas Department of Health; Must have a high school diploma or equivalent; and Hold at least a: 3.0 on the Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA); or Quality Assurance Screening Test (QAST) 3/3 (transliterating /interpreting).
