Job Description

Degree in American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreting, certified ASL Interpreter credentials, and 1+ year of experience as an ASL Interpreter in educational settings. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Provide essential communication access while working alongside dedicated educators and professionals for the full 2026/2027 school year. You'll have the chance to support one school, giving you the ability to make meaningful connections with students and staff. You'll be matched with a caseload that meets your strengths, often working closely with one or two students in a classroom environment. Qualifications:
Proficiency in American Sign Language and strong interpreting skills RID Certification preferred; EIPA 4.0 or higher is also highly desirable Experience supporting children or adolescents in classroom settings is a plus Ability to collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to promote student participation Professionalism, reliability, and a compassionate approach
Responsibilities:
Provide on-site sign language interpreting for students during classroom instruction and school activities Foster a supportive learning environment by facilitating clear communication between students, teachers, and peers Adapt interpreting style based on each student's needs and learning goals Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards for educational interpreting Participate in team collaboration and contribute to the student's success plan
