Job Description
Job Summary This position is primarily responsible for providing a safe, secure environment, physically and emotionally, for children receiving supervised visits with a Spanish-speaking non-custodial parent.
Essential Job Duties:
Supervise visits of non-custodial parents and promote the best interest of the child(ren) in accordance with The Uniform Standards of Practice for Providers of Supervised Visitation (Judicial Council Standard 5.20, Family Code section 3200). Adhere to all visitation requirements set forth in court orders. Remain neutral with all parties, including not discussing the merits of the case or supporting or agreeing with any one party. Enforce Supervised Visitation rules and intervene as necessary to correct behavior or terminate the visit. Maintain the safety and cleanliness of the visitation site during visits. Schedule all appointments for visitation services, update and maintain visitation schedules, keep parties informed of cancellations. Provide concise written observation reports and make them available as requested to all parties assigned to the case including custodial and non-custodial parents, court, lawyers, and social workers. Receive referrals from Health and Human Services and/or Courts in Inyo and Mono Counties; perform intakes for new clients. Provide culturally sensitive services and work with members of underserved communities in our service area. Ensure language access during visitation for all family members. Work in office and community settings in Inyo and Mono Counties as needed to accommodate the needs of families receiving supervised visits (no in-home visits).Qualifications:
Required:
Bilingual/biliterate in English and Spanish. High School diploma or equivalency. Must be 21 years of age or older. Valid driver's license, current auto insurance, and reliable transportation. Ability to use a computer and proficiency with Office 365 and learn industry specific software. Demonstrates good judgment, problem solving, analytical and decision-making skills. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to work with minimal supervision in both individual and team settings. Willing to undergo a live scan background check; have no current or past court order in which the provider is or has been the person being supervised. Available to work some after-hours or weekend times in office and community settings in Inyo and Mono Counties as needed to accommodate the needs of families (no in-home visits).Preferred:
At least one year of experience with a similar agency. At least one year of experience performing similar or transferable duties. Completion of training in The Uniform Standards of Practice for providers of Supervised Visitation (Judicial Council Standard 5.20, Family Code section 3200 and 3200.5).Pay:
$25.00 - $28.74 per hourBenefits:
