This contract opportunity offers full-time hours during the school year, supporting students who are deaf or hard of hearing in their academic and social development. The need is immediate and ongoing, with assignments available at both middle and high school levels.

Certification by the National Registry of Interpreters of the Deaf, or an EIPA, ESSE-I/R, or

NAD/ACCI

assessment score of 4.0 or above Candidates with an EIPA score under 4.0 may be considered for ASL Paraeducator roles Prior interpreting experience in K-12 educational settings preferred Strong command of sign to voice and voice to sign communication Ability to assist students in core subjects and support them in classroom, community, or vocational activities Comfort working collaboratively with teachers, peers, and school staff Professionalism, reliability, and effective organizational skills Key responsibilities: Facilitate real-time communication between students, peers, and educators through sign language interpretation Support instructional activities in academic, vocational, and life skills areas Monitor student engagement during classroom, outdoor, and school community events Adjust communication modes as needed to fit student and classroom needs Advocate for student inclusion and understanding within the school environment This is an onsite-only role, approximately 30 hours per week, aligned with school hours. There are five openings, and your preference for middle or high school placement will be considered.
