Key Qualifications:

4.0 EIPA score or holds RID certification Demonstrated fluency in ASL and strong understanding of Deaf culture Previous experience interpreting in educational settings, particularly with middle school students, is highly valued Professionalism, adaptability, and clear communication skills Culturally responsive and sensitive to student needs

Responsibilities:

Provide sign language interpretation for students, staff, and families during classroom instruction, meetings, assemblies, and extracurricular activities Foster inclusive learning by facilitating communication between Deaf/hard-of-hearing students and their peers or teachers Adhere to ethical and professional guidelines for educational interpreting Prepare for assignments by reviewing lesson content and materials ahead of time Collaborate with teachers, special education teams, and support staff to best meet students' communication needs Maintain confidentiality and accurate records as required If you're committed to educational access and looking for a long-term assignment starting as soon as possible through June 2027, this role could be a perfect fit.
