The city which is situated in the northwest section of Santa Barbara County has a population of approximately 7,000 residents. The District's certificated staff includes 4 teachers at Guadalupe Early Learning Center (TK), 30 teachers at Mary Buren Elementary (K-3 Self-Contained), 23 teachers at Kermit McKenzie Intermediate School (4th

DISTRICT PROGRAMS
In addition to being a 1:1 school district (TK

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 2 years of translation/interpretation
  • Valid California driver's license required
  • Interpreting/Translating Certification preferred
  • Strong command of oral and written language usage in both English and Spanish including, but not limited to, correct grammar, spelling, punctuation, and vocabulary.
  • Effective oral communication in both English and Spanish.
  • Ability to work independently or as a member of a team.
  • Ability to manage time effectively to meet professional obligations and deadlines.
  • Ability to process high-volume of translating work with accuracy.
  • Ability to meet schedules and timelines.
  • Knowledge of computer software and web-based software programs (i.e. Microsoft Word and Excel, Google Drive).
  • Read, write, listen, and speak both English and Spanish.
  • Meet scheduled timelines.
  • Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Communicate effectively with students, teachers, parents, staff, and public communities. All applicants must meet the minimum qualifications (i.e., experience, education, etc.) as listed on the job description in order to be considered for an interview.
