Job Summary Job Summary Provide voice to sign and sign to voice interpreting and other support services for deaf and hard-of-hearing students/staff in a variety of settings to facilitate communications between students, faculty, staff, parents and others; confer with students, teachers and administrators concerning instructional functions, interpretation services, educational progress and related issues, needs and activities. QUALIFICATION GUIDELINES
Education and Experience:

Any combination of training, education, and experience which demonstrates possession of the knowledge and abilities stated above, and the ability to perform the duties of the position.

Education:

Graduation from high school and certification by the National Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf, Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment, the Educational Sign Skills Evaluation-Interpreter and Receptive, the National Association of the Deaf, American Consortium of Certified Interpreters, or equivalent, with a score of 4.0 or above. License(s), certifications or other requirements:

• Valid California Class C Driver's License. Applications accepted on EdJOIN only. An automated confirmation email will be sent once the application is submitted.

SELECTION PROCEDURES

The Selection Process is open to all qualified applicants. To be considered for an employment opportunity with MBUSD, it is necessary for you to complete an official District Application.
