Job Description

We are seeking experienced interpreters to join our network of professional linguists on a freelance basis. You will provide on-site interpretation services across a range of settings (medical, legal, business, education, and more) for clients throughout the region. Priority will be given to English <> Spanish interpreters near Mecca CA; all interpreters with expertise in other language pairs are welcome to submit their resume for review.
Responsibilities:
Interpret spoken communication accurately and completely between service providers and limited-English-proficient (LEP) individuals Maintain strict confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and applicable industry standards Exhibit cultural sensitivity and professionalism in all client interactions Arrive punctually for assigned appointments and maintain accurate assignment records
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of professional interpreting experience Fluency in English and at least one other language Strong understanding of relevant terminology for your field(s) of practice Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to client locations Professional demeanor and excellent interpersonal skills Interpreting certification (CMI, CHI, or equivalent) preferred Authorized to work in the United States; must meet client background screening and vaccination requirements Why Join The Language Center?
