This position supports students ranging from Middle School through Adult Transition Programs within the Central Orange County Region. The ASL Interpreter will facilitate communication between students who are deaf or hard of hearing and teachers, staff, peers, and other members of the educational team while ensuring equal access to instruction and school-related activities.
What We Offer:
Monday•Friday Schedules 35-40 Hours per Week Morning & Day Shifts (between the hours of 7:30am-4:00pm) Pay Rate•$50+/hour Benefits Available•Medical, Dental & Vision Responsibilities:
Provide accurate and effective ASL interpreting services in classroom and school settings Facilitate communication between students, teachers, staff, and peers Support student participation in academic, vocational, and transition-based activities Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional standards of practice Participate in meetings and school-related activities as required Collaborate with educational teams to support student successMinimum Qualifications:
Candidates must possess one of the following: National RID (Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf) Certification, OR A passing score of 4.0 or higher on one of the following assessments: Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA)ESSE-I/R NAD/ACCI
Preferred Qualifications:
