Desired Qualifications:

Valid EIPA score of 4.0 Completion of CHSPE or NCLB requirements, including 48 units of higher education study, an AA degree, or a certificate from the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) Alternatively, certification at TEC unit level 4 from ACCI Proven skills in American Sign Language and experience interpreting in educational settings Strong commitment to fostering inclusive, accessible learning environments

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver clear, accurate sign language interpretation for students in one-on-one settings throughout the school day Facilitate effective communication between students, peers, and staff Adapt interpretation style to meet individual student needs and classroom activities Collaborate with educators and support staff to ensure consistent access to curriculum and school resources Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards for educational interpreting
