Job Description

Category Schools - Sign Language Interpreter Job Type Contract Take your expertise as a Sign Language Interpreter to an educational setting near Denver, CO! This full-time, school-year contract role offers an engaging itinerant assignment across various school sites. You'll work with students in both general education and special education, supporting a full spectrum of needs from mild to severe. This is a valuable opportunity to apply your interpreting skills and make a daily difference in the classroom.
Qualifications & Experience:
Valid CDE (Colorado Department of Education) Authorization for educational sign language interpreters (required) EIPA score of 3.5 or higher (must meet this minimum to be considered) Experience interpreting in a school setting, with comfort working with students across SPED and general education environments Ability to manage varying assignments in an itinerant role, traveling between sites Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Your Responsibilities:
Provide interpreting services for students who are deaf or hard of hearing, ensuring full access to curriculum and classroom communication Interpret in a wide range of educational settings, including mainstream and special education classrooms Collaborate with educators, staff, and families to support student success across multiple sites Maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and sensitivity to the needs of diverse learners Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) as needed This is an onsite-only position with a dynamic pace and the chance to impact students' lives throughout the school year.
