Educational Interpreter - Englewood, Colorado Soliant - 3.9 Englewood, CO Job Details Full-time | Contract $25.64 - $45.64 an hour 6 days ago Qualifications School experience Educational interpretation Interpretation Faculty collaboration American Sign Language Classroom experience Interpretation experience within education industry Full Job Description Degree in American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreting, certified ASL Interpreter credentials, and 1+ year of experience as an ASL Interpreter in educational settings. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Step into a rewarding role as a Sign Language Interpreter providing critical support to students in both special education and general education settings. This full-time, full school year contract offers the unique opportunity to work onsite across a range of schools as an itinerant interpreter, ensuring your days are varied and engaging. You'll collaborate closely with educational teams and empower students by facilitating effective communication in classroom environments—from mild to severe needs. This position is perfect for interpreters passionate about making a daily impact and who thrive in dynamic school settings.
Qualifications:
Valid EIPA score of 3.5 or higher (required) Experience interpreting in K-12 settings, in both SPED and general education preferred Proficiency in American Sign Language Adaptability to serve multiple campuses and adjust quickly to new environments Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with teachers, support staff, and administrators Commitment to confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions
Key Responsibilities:
Provide on-site sign language interpretation for students, staff, and family members Support a diverse range of students across different grade levels and abilities Work as an itinerant interpreter, traveling between multiple school sites based on daily needs Contribute to creating inclusive classrooms by assisting with both one-on-one and group interpretation Maintain accurate records and documentation as required Collaborate with educational teams to modify interpreting strategies as needed for individual students If you are ready to bring your expertise to vibrant school communities and make a lasting difference, apply today and help strengthen communication and inclusion for all students!
