As you support students' access to education and expand their ASL vocabulary, you'll also connect with passionate educators and varied teaching methods. In this full-time, 32.5-hour-per-week position (August 27, 2026, through June 11, 2027), you'll provide one-on-one ASL facilitation and tutoring, supporting either a preschooler or a 5th grader. Your efforts will directly ensure comprehension, engagement, and language development.
Qualifications & Skills:
Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) required Experience in a K-12 school setting highly preferred RID certification and/or EIPA score preferred but not mandatory Strong communication and tutoring abilities Flexibility and passion for working with culturally diverse populations
Key Responsibilities:
Work 1:1 with assigned student to provide both interpretation and direct ASL language support Facilitate comprehension of classroom materials and help build ASL vocabulary Collaborate with teachers and support staff to monitor progress Contribute to a positive, inclusive learning environment
