Category Schools - Sign Language Interpreter Job Type Contract Take on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as an ASL Language Facilitator and Sign Language Interpreter in a dynamic, diverse urban school district near New Haven, CT. For the 2026-2027 academic year, two full-time positions (32.5 hours per week) are available: one working with a preschooler, and another with a 5th grade student. Your role will involve direct 1:1 support, tutoring, and facilitating comprehension of classroom materials, while helping to build students' ASL vocabulary. You will collaborate closely with educators to provide accessible learning and meaningful participation for students using American Sign Language. Initial interviews are virtual—meet with the Director and Teacher of the Deaf to discuss your background and student-age preferences for the best possible fit.
