Degree in American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreting, certified ASL Interpreter credentials, and 1+ year of experience as an ASL Interpreter in educational settings. Position Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Sign Language Interpreter (SLI) to provide interpreting services for students within a public school setting in the West Palm Beach area for the 2026-2027 school year. The ideal candidate is passionate about supporting student achievement and collaborating with educational teams to ensure equal access to classroom instruction and school activities. Requirements Must have completed the Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA) with a score of 3.0 or higher Experience working with children or within a school setting preferred Strong knowledge of American Sign Language (ASL) and educational interpreting practices Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, staff, students, and families Common Daily Duties Provide sign language interpreting services during classroom instruction, school activities, meetings, and related educational settings Facilitate effective communication between students, teachers, staff, and peers Support student participation, engagement, and access to educational content throughout the school day Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and compliance with school district policies and procedures Benefits Include Medical insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance 401(k) Advisory support team Travel stipends available for qualified applicants Contact Rachael Harvey for more information!
