Job Description

Category Schools - Sign Language Interpreter Job Type Contract Bring your passion for sign language and educational support to a rewarding contract opportunity working closely with students for the 2026/27 school year. This onsite position offers the chance to directly impact students' learning experiences, interpreting classroom instruction and fostering smooth communication between Deaf/Hard-of-Hearing students and their hearing peers, Monday through Friday, for 37.5 hours each week.
Key Qualifications:
Possess and submit active Georgia licensure and credentials in sign language interpretation EIPA score of 3.5 or higher Hold an active Georgia Educator's Certification Demonstrated full-time availability through the school year Previous experience in school-based environments, with strong understanding of K-12 educational settings Reliable transportation to travel to the onsite location
Responsibilities:
Interpret classroom discussions, lectures, and other auditory information to support assigned students Facilitate effective two-way communication during academic and social interactions Provide clarification or reteaching as needed to ensure student comprehension Collaborate professionally with teachers and staff to support student integration Uphold confidentiality and ethical standards as set forth by professional and district guidelines Why envision yourself here?
