Near Austell, Georgia:
Step into a dynamic educational setting supporting students as a Sign Language Interpreter for the upcoming 2026-2027 academic year. Work on a contract basis near Austell, Georgia —just 25 minutes outside the city of Atlanta. Your expertise in sign language will foster communication and create access to learning in school environments. Bring your skills to daily interactions that make a true difference for students who are deaf or hard of hearing, collaborating directly with teachers and staff to support educational goals.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
  • Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) with demonstrated interpreting experience in educational settings
  • National or state certification (such as EIPA, RID, or equivalent)
  • Understanding of deaf culture and best practices in communication access
  • Ability to interpret in both classroom and extracurricular activities
  • Professionalism, reliability, and the ability to adapt to new environments
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Your Role Will Include:
  • Providing sign language interpretation 1:1 with high school student
  • Facilitating clear communication between students, teachers, and peers
  • Translating spoken language into sign language and vice versa in both group and one-on-one settings
  • Participating in IEP meetings as needed
  • Following established protocols for confidentiality and ethical standards
