Job Description

Degree in American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreting, certified ASL Interpreter credentials, and 1+ year of experience as an ASL Interpreter in educational settings. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A new opportunity is available for a skilled Sign Language Interpreter seeking to make a meaningful difference in a K-12 educational setting. This onsite contract role spans the 2026-2027 academic year, with full-time hours (37.5 per week) and the flexibility to discuss part-time options depending on scheduling needs. Placement will be finalized through a conversation with the district to best match your strengths and experience with student needs.
What We're Looking For:
Active Georgia Educator Certificate for Sign Language Interpreters Minimum EIPA score of 3.5 Experience in school settings strongly preferred Willingness to maintain daily logs documenting interpreting services Flexible and collaborative mindset to support various age groups as assigned Commitment to onsite-only assignments (remote/VOCO work is not available for this role)
Daily Role Will Include:
Providing clear and effective interpretation between students, faculty, and staff Supporting students across a range of age groups (exact caseload to be determined after interview discussion) Adhering to district standards for documentation and timely daily log entries Collaborating with educational teams, administrators, and other professionals Participating in some pre- and post-planning sessions as the school year begins and ends
