Job Description
Category Schools - Sign Language Interpreter Job Type Contract A full-time onsite Sign Language Interpreter position is available in Columbus, GA, serving the Muscogee County School District for the 2026-2027 academic year. This contract role spans from August 3, 2026, to May 21, 2027, with the possibility of additional pre- and post-planning days. The position offers a minimum of 37.5 hours per week, though part-time arrangements may be considered based on available hours. Key responsibilities include providing effective sign language interpretation services to students within the district. Candidates must be comfortable completing daily service logs to document their work thoroughly. Placement within age groups will be tailored to the individual's experience and preferences through an interview process.
Qualifications and Skills:
Active Georgia Educator Certification for Sign Language Interpreters EIPA (Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment) score of 3.5 or higher Experience in sign language interpretation within educational settings Ability to maintain detailed service logs daily Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with students and school staff Flexibility concerning full-time or part-time schedules, depending on caseloadLocation:
