Category Schools - Sign Language Interpreter Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract role supporting students as a dedicated Sign Language Interpreter in a school setting near Cumming, GA. You'll play a crucial role providing one-on-one interpreting services to help ensure every student receives an equitable educational experience. This full-time opportunity runs from August 3rd, 2026, through May 27th, 2027, and offers the chance to make a daily impact as part of a collaborative educational team. Qualifications and Experience:
Valid Georgia Department of Education (GA DOE) Sign Language Interpreter License (required) Expertise in American Sign Language (ASL) and interpreting within school environments Demonstrated experience in 1:1 student support preferred Strong communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills Proven ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality

Provide one-on-one sign language interpreting services to a student within an academic setting Facilitate clear and accurate communication between student, staff, and peers Adapt interpreting approaches to support student needs in various classroom settings and school activities Help foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment Collaborate with educators and specialists to track student progress and share insights This contract is based on a standard school calendar, allowing for built-in breaks and consistency throughout the academic year.
