This contract position offers an opportunity to work onsite with a high school student in an adaptive classroom, ensuring effective communication and accessible learning experiences for the duration of the 2026-2027 academic year.
Key Qualifications:
Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) with demonstrated interpreting skills Minimum EIPA score of 3.5 or higher Experience working in educational settings, preferably with SPED students Skilled in providing interpretation services for students who use wheelchairs Compassion, adaptability, and a collaborative spirit Dedication to fostering an inclusive learning environment
Your Responsibilities:
Deliver sign language interpretation for a high school student in an adaptive classroom setting Ensure clear and consistent communication between the student, teachers, and peers Collaborate with classroom staff to provide comprehensive communication support services Assist in facilitating classroom participation, access to curriculum, and social interactions Respect center-based (onsite) work per student/parent request—no virtual services Experience the fulfillment that comes from making a direct and positive impact on a student's educational journey.
