Seasonal Park Aide/Interpreter Idaho Parks and Recreation- Three Island Crossing State Park Job Summary Join our team as a Seasonal Park Aide/Interpreter and become a vital part of our vibrant outdoor community! Duties Provide engaging interpretive programs, guided tours, and educational activities for diverse visitors of all ages Engage with our visitors by facilitating programs that connect them to our parks Historical and natural heritage. This may include leading nature walks, History Center tours and Junior Ranger programs in the park. Work with park staff, volunteers and community organizations to enhance interpretive and educational opportunities for our visitors. Maintain a welcoming environment by answering questions, providing directions, and addressing visitor concerns professionally Collaborate with team members to develop new interpretive materials and improve visitor engagement strategies Requirements Experience or training in interpretation, translation, or linguistics is preferred A customer service attitude Strong communication skills with the ability to convey information clearly and enthusiastically Passion for outdoor education, environmental conservation, or cultural history Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while standing or walking for extended periods Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and flexible hours during peak visitation seasons Join us in inspiring curiosity and fostering connections between visitors and our natural landscapes!
