Sign Language Interpreter

The Sign Language Interpreter conducts medical and general interpreting for healthcare providers, patients, and their families.

• Facilitates understanding in communication by conducting medical and general interpretation for healthcare providers, patients and their families.
• Assesses patient's comprehension of informed consent.
• Assists in triage crisis interventions for hard of hearing/deaf patients and their family.
• Interprets with highest degree of accuracy and completeness in consecutive, simultaneous and sight translation modes.
• Suggests to management referrals of patients and families who could benefit from the assistance of additional patient resources

Location:

Meridian with coverage in Nampa and Boise

PRN Minimum Qualifications:

• Education:

  Bachelors degree or experience in lieu of degree

• Experience:

  2 years relevant experience

• Licenses/Certifications:
