Two exciting opportunities are available:
one serving high school students (grades 9-12), and another supporting elementary and middle school students (K-8). Both positions are onsite and offer the chance to engage with a vibrant, collaborative educational community.
Desired Qualifications:
EIPA Score of 3.5 or higher is required (please submit proof with your application) Prior experience as a Sign Language Interpreter in school settings preferred Proficiency in interpreting for diverse educational needs and group sizes Ability to adapt communication styles for different student age groups (elementary, middle, or high school) Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills to collaborate with educators, students, and families Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards
Key Responsibilities:
Provide sign language interpretation between students, staff, and peers during academic and extracurricular activities Adjust interpreting approaches to meet the unique needs of individual and small group caseloads (1-3 students at the HS level, 1-5 at the K-8th level) Facilitate engagement and understanding in classroom discussions, instructions, and school events Collaborate with educational teams to ensure accessible communication for all assigned students Attend professional training days at the start of the academic year Apply now and specify your preferred age group: high school (9th-12th grades) or elementary-middle school (K-8th grades).
