Job Description
Make a positive impact supporting students access to education as an onsite Sign Language Interpreter within a welcoming, collaborative school environment. This contract opportunity offers both full-time and part-time schedules for the 2026-2027 academic year. Serve high school students in an engaging, supportive setting where your expertise truly matters. Youll interpret in classrooms where your skills foster communication and inclusivity for students who are deaf or hard of hearing. Depending on your preference, choose a full-time role split between high-need educational sites, or opt for a part-time schedule during morning hours. Both positions run from early August through May, following the academic calendar and minimizing summer commitments.
Qualifications & Experience:
EIPA score of 3.5+ with ISBE Approval;EIPA 3.0-3.4
considered with valid ISBE Interim Approval BEI or NIC credentials accepted with ISBE Approval Previous experience serving K-12 or high school students as a sign language interpreter preferred Strong ethical standards and a commitment to professional guidelines Ability to work onsite and collaborate with multidisciplinary teamsKey Responsibilities:
