East View Academy:

7:45 am - 2:45 pm, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. Full-Time FLOAT Interpreter servicing DHH students district-wide: 8:45 am - 3:45 pm, supporting service minutes (Occupational Therapy, Social Work, etc.) and providing substitute coverage as needed. Qualifications And Experience Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) with proven ability to interpret in educational settings Prior experience working with students who are deaf or hard-of-hearing (DHH) is strongly preferred National or state interpreter certification or eligibility required Ability to collaborate with instructional staff and adapt interpreting to meet specific student needs Professionalism, reliability, and strong communication skills Key Responsibilities Deliver clear, accurate interpretation for classroom activities, service-related sessions, and school events Foster student engagement and access to curriculum through effective communication Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards Provide support for service minutes and substitute for interpreter absences as needed Be part of a supportive team where your skills make an immediate difference.
