Job Description

Category Schools - Sign Language Interpreter Job Type Contract Bring your expertise as a Sign Language Interpreter to a dynamic elementary school environment for the 2026-2027 academic year. This contract opportunity is perfect for professionals passionate about making a difference in students' lives through the power of communication. Work full time as an in-person interpreter, partnering directly with an elementary student, and play a key role in their educational journey. As the assigned 1:1 interpreter, you'll support a young learner's access to instruction, engagement in classroom activities, and social interaction with teachers and peers. Desired Qualifications:
Valid certification as a Sign Language Interpreter Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) Previous experience interpreting in an educational or school setting preferred Comfortable working 1:1 in a classroom environment Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, staff, and families
Key Responsibilities:
