Job Description

Degree in American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreting, certified ASL Interpreter credentials, and 1+ year of experience as an ASL Interpreter in educational settings. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Key Qualifications:
Valid Kansas SLI (Sign Language Interpreter) license Current EIPA Score as required for educational interpreting Experience working with school-aged children, especially at the elementary level, highly valued Strong command of both American Sign Language and English Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills Professionalism, reliability, and a passion for student success
Responsibilities:
Deliver sign language interpretation for two elementary students, ensuring equal access to classroom instruction and activities Support both academic and social contexts throughout the school day Collaborate closely with teachers, support staff, and families to optimize each student's learning Maintain accurate records and uphold ethical standards of confidentiality and professionalism Foster an inclusive, welcoming environment that encourages student participation and growth
