Key Qualifications:

Demonstrated proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) Previous experience as a Sign Language Interpreter in a school setting is highly desirable Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Adaptability and resourcefulness in dynamic classroom environments Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism

Primary Responsibilities:

Interpret classroom instruction, assignments, and discussions using ASL to provide students with full access to educational content Facilitate communication between students, teachers, and staff Support classroom activities, modify materials, and assist students with academic and social integration Monitor students' progress and collaborate with educational teams to help ensure a positive learning experience Contribute to Individualized Education Program (IEP) implementation for students as needed
