Qualifications & Experience:

Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) is essential Previous experience as a Sign Language Interpreter or in an educational support setting is preferred Ability to interpret person-to-person, support classroom instruction, and facilitate peer interactions Strong interpersonal and communication skills; collaborative and flexible approach Passionate about student advocacy and committed to promoting inclusive education

Key Responsibilities:

Interpret classroom discussions, activities, and school events for students using ASL Assist educators in adapting instructional materials and strategies to meet students' communication needs Support students in both academic and social interactions throughout the school day Serve as a communication bridge between staff, students, and the school community Collaborate with teachers and support staff to foster a nurturing, accessible learning environment
