Part Time Job Description Summary:
To facilitate communication via interpreting all information between the instructor and the hard of hearing and/or deaf student. Knowledge of deaf culture and cultural norms is expected. Continuous recruitment for this position.
Minimum Qualifications:
Documentation of skill level and/or certification in using American Sign Language(ASL). Interpreting experience at the high school and/or college level.
Job Requirements:
Must be available to work during the Spring/Summer/Fall semester. Must be available to work flexible daytime and/or evening hours. Must be willing to work on the Largo campus and at all extension centers. Must be dependable and responsible. Ability to communicate effectively in spoken and written standard English. As required by the 1986 Immigration Act, be prepared to present acceptable documentation showing your identity and that you are a U.S. citizen or an alien who is authorized to work.
