QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma and experience with community organizations or agencies that serve the needs of youth. Fluent in Spanish and English verbal and written.

Building Principal and Judy Center Staff

JOB GOAL:
Under the direction of the Building Principal & Judy Center Staff. The community will have access to a translator to support our Spanish speaking families in the community. The translator will allow families to access resources that may not otherwise have been possible. Additionally, the translator will help Judy Center staff to involve these families in the rich programming being offered.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide interpreting and translating services in the educational environment. Work with Judy Center staff to engage parents/guardians. Increase family involvement in all Judy Center activities. Under the direction of the school principal and Judy Center staff, help plan family workshops to support students academically. When requested by the administration attend meetings for the purpose of interpreting. Support Judy Center staff in surveying families and when needed, conduct home visits to identified families to determine how to best support them. Work with Judy Center staff to utilize multiple methods of communication to improve student learning and family engagement. Work cooperatively with students, school staff, and community partners to serve the needs of HHGES Judy Center families. Interpretation during playgroups, family engagement events, home visits, and outreach with families will be required. Maintain confidentiality.
Terms of Employment:
Part-Time Grant Funded position. Duration of employment is contingent on grant funding.
Salary Lane:
Part-time/ $30 per hour/ 5 hours per week until 8/31/26.
